This miniature Stanhope binocular charm is a unique keepsake that dates to the mid-20th century. Looking through the lenses, you'll find micro-photographs of St. Peter’s Basilica and Pope Pius XII.
Stanhopes were collectible novelties, that became popular in the late 19th century. This charm was likely a religious commemorative charm bought on a visit to Vatican City.
